families in these homes and more importantly can establish who are the members of these families. This listing is not exhaustive,
but helps to verify my ancestor details, at least back to Thomas Tostevin b 1790.

‘LANGTOFT’  ROUGE HUI AVENUE – ST PETER PORT

The name of the house ‘Longtoft’ is frequently seen on the Internet spelt as LANGTAPE, however, the name over the doorway is
clearly ‘LANGTOFT’.  This is a modest house at the end of a row of tier houses.

‘LONGFREI HOUSE’, ST PIERRE DU BOIS [St Peter in the Wood]

Now converted into a Hotel - Longfrie Inn, Route De Longfrie, St Pierre Du Bois. The Longfrei house in St Pierre du Bois was
always known in the past as a Tostevin residence and is reputed to be haunted; they always have an effigy of a
witch tied onto
the chimney stack

‘Oleah Lodge is very interesting; it is on the corner of The Gravees and Rocquettes Lane where my Grandmother and
Grandfather lived .......... It was the home of Thomas and Amie and all the children Thomas, Eunice, Ethel, Beatrice, Mark, Frank,
Edward and Bert. How they all lived there i do not know, it is not that big’
